ReplyDeletethank you!
DeleteThank you for sharing your work. I'm inspired by your displays. I would like to ask if most of your units of inquiry are stand-alones to be more art focused. I've tried to integrate, as much as possible, into the units of my school but it's a bit of a struggle!
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome nico! i am glad you liked the displays.
DeleteI try to keep a balance between stand - alone and integrated planners. It depends on the POI as well as the arts scope and sequence. I would say authentic integration/connection is the key! if you feel the connection between UOI and your subject is not direct or 'forced' then probably you should try doing a stand- alone unit there. Contributing to the central is considered to be a level 1 integration but you can also integrate by looking at the same key concepts in your class. in this case you will still have to create a stand alone planner (in a directly integrated unit you fill your bit in the UOI planner)
I hope this makes sense..and is helpful..if not feel free to clarify :)
